Glass, covers and complete mirrors

Tesla Mirror Replacement in Dubai

A cracked mirror or one that will not stay in position needs a repair that restores a clear, steady view. Our independent Al Quoz workshop assesses the damage and explains whether your Tesla needs mirror glass, a repairable component or a replacement assembly.

Model 3 · Model Y · Model S · Model X. Start with your model and which mirror needs attention.

Replace the damaged part

Glass, cap or complete assembly?

Cracked glass does not automatically mean replacing the whole wing mirror. The glass, outer cover and working assembly have different jobs, so the repair starts by identifying what is damaged and what can remain.

The reflective surface

Mirror glass replacement

If the glass is cracked or its reflective finish has deteriorated, a compatible glass replacement may be suitable. The backing, retaining points and electrical connections also need checking. Keeping an undamaged housing can avoid unnecessary replacement of the working mirror.

The outer finish

Cap and housing repairs

A surface scuff on the painted cap may need refinishing. Broken clips or a cracked cover may need a replacement part instead. Damage to the main housing or folding pivot must be assessed separately from a cosmetic mark on the cap.

The mount and mechanism

Assembly replacement

A broken mounting, severe impact damage or an unsuitable internal repair may make a compatible assembly the sensible option. Ask which glass, cover and fittings are included. A supplied assembly is not necessarily ready in your car’s colour.

If the mirror is hanging loose, has exposed sharp glass or cannot provide a usable view, call before driving. We can discuss a suitable way to bring the car in; any recovery arrangement and charge need agreeing separately.

Budget before ordering parts

Tesla mirror replacement costs

Use these guide ranges to begin the discussion. A glass-only job, painted cover and complete mirror replacement are different purchases, so the written estimate should identify the actual parts and fitting work.

Side mirror replacement

AED 1,200–2,500

Guide range for side-mirror replacement work. The mirror position, quantity and included components must be confirmed for your car.

Other mirror replacement work

AED 1,500–3,000

A broader guide for mirror work involving other mirrors or additional components. This is not a fixed rear-view mirror, visor or pair-of-mirrors package.

These are estimates, not fixed fitted prices. Confirm parts, labour, paint and whether 5% VAT is included in the written total. Glass-only repairs, cap refinishing and electrical diagnosis are quoted separately once the work is identified.

Get an estimate for your mirror

Tell us the model and whether the problem is damage, movement or visibility. A photo can help identify the likely parts before your visit.

The replacement glass must suit the mirror’s fitted functions as well as its shape.

Keep the functions your car has

The right glass and fittings

Two pieces of mirror glass can look similar while supporting different functions. Replacement glass needs compatible heating and automatic dimming where fitted. Powered folding and reverse tilt involve the mirror assembly and its controls, so those functions are checked separately.

Plain replacement glass does not restore factory dimming simply because it fits the housing. Equally, a car without a particular factory feature does not gain it through replacement glass alone. Equipment varies with the build and specification.

Match the actual vehicle

Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X parts should not be assumed interchangeable. The model year, VIN, left or right position and existing part details help identify the correct mounting, connector and glass. Mention an imported car or a previous aftermarket mirror when enquiring.

Choose the supplied part

Ask which genuine, alternative or used part is available for your vehicle before choosing. Compare its identity, condition, retained features and written warranty terms. A used assembly needs more than a matching colour to be suitable; a low parts price is useful only when fitment and operation are right.

Agree the exterior finish

An undamaged original cap may be reusable if compatible with the replacement. Otherwise, the quote should identify the cap and any refinishing. Tell us about wrap, paint protection film or coating on it, because reinstating those finishes is separate from painting.

A symptom is not a parts diagnosis

When the mirror stops working

A mirror that will not move can have a mechanical or electrical fault. Checking the fitted equipment and how it responds helps avoid replacing a sound assembly for a settings, connection or control problem.

What you noticeWhat needs checkingHow it changes the repair
One mirror will not foldFolding equipment, settings, response to the command, pivot and electrical supply.A jammed or damaged mechanism needs a different answer from disabled automatic folding.
The glass will not adjustAdjustment in each direction, the backing, actuator and connections. The glass moving on its mount is different from the whole housing being loose.
The saved position is wrongDriver profile, reverse-tilt behaviour and applicable mirror-position calibration.A position or setup issue may be resolved without replacing the mirror.
Dimming or heating seems absentWhether the car has the function, its operating conditions, glass and connections.A daylight appearance or one observation does not establish that an electrical component has failed.

Tell us whether the fault affects one side or both, and whether it began after an impact, repair or change of driver profile. If a motor repeatedly clicks or the housing moves beyond its normal position, stop cycling it and arrange an assessment.

Two different kinds of setup

Mirrors and cameras are separate

Mirror-position calibration concerns where the mirror moves and returns. Camera calibration concerns the camera system. Replacing mirror glass does not automatically mean recalibrating Autopilot cameras.

On applicable Model 3 vehicles, the side repeater cameras are in the front fenders, separate from the mirrors. If the same impact damaged that area, or a camera view has failed, mention it when booking. The camera fault assessment then covers the separate hardware and any setup its repair requires.

Rear-view and vanity mirrors

Interior mirrors need different parts

Tell us which interior mirror is damaged. A rear-view mirror affects the view behind the car, while a sun visor mirror is part of the visor and its trim.

Rear-view mirror replacement

Cracked glass, a loose mounting or a dimming concern needs assessment of the mirror and its attachment. The replacement must suit the build and electrical equipment. Adjacent windscreen trim and camera housings should be handled according to the applicable repair procedure.

Describe whether the reflection is damaged, the mirror will not hold position or the concern is dimming. Those are separate reasons for a visit and do not all require the same part.

Sun visor mirror replacement

A cracked vanity mirror, broken cover and failed light are different faults. The available repair depends on whether the damaged item is supplied separately or as part of the visor. Include the visor colour and side in a parts enquiry so the replacement also matches the interior.

Make the visit straightforward

Parts, fitting and collection

A clear photo of the whole mirror and a close view of the damage help with an initial estimate. For an intermittent movement fault, a short video taken while safely parked can be more useful than a still image.

Parts availability, electrical investigation and paintwork determine the booking length. Ask about the expected time once the part and work are agreed. A glass replacement and a painted assembly replacement should not share an automatic same-day promise.

If the impact also damaged the door skin or mirror mounting area, include it in the photos. Our door repair assessment covers adjoining panel and door-operation problems that a new mirror alone cannot resolve.

Do both side mirrors need replacing together?

Usually the assessment concerns the damaged side. A fault affecting both mirrors needs checking before either is ordered. There is no blanket reason to replace an undamaged, compatible mirror simply to match a repair on the other side.

Can I bring a mirror I bought online?

Ask before buying or bringing it in. The workshop needs to check compatibility, condition and which fittings are included, then agree whether it can accept the supplied part. Parts and labour terms may differ from a supplied-and-fitted repair.

Can I keep the broken mirror for an insurance claim?

Tell the workshop before disposal and ask your insurer what evidence it needs. Keep photos and the estimate. Repair authorisation and payment depend on the claim and policy; a workshop quotation does not itself confirm insurance approval.
